I understand:
If my wheel requires a tube, a new tube and rim strip are mandatory. The shop will not reinstall old rubber tubes. Cost is added to the final bill (~$15-$25 per tire).
The shop will NOT install tires with a date code older than 5 years, even if they look "new" / never mounted. Rubber degrades on the shelf.
